So, last I heard, this is the final season of Supernatural, that they've always said that, and that the finale for last season said so.

Today, my friend says they signed on for one or two more seasons, and she said they announced it at comic con.

I am doubtful because:
1. Why would they put that if discussion of further seasons was in the works, even if they were working out contracts or whatever?
2. Where would the stories go? Let's deal with the apocalypse quickly rather than drag it on. Skip forward a few years if necessary. Let's not make this another Smallville. Yes, I'm sad to have a final season, but we all knew it would come eventually, and I'd rather it be now than when it's dug itself in a whole where it feels sucky because of recycled plots.

But...if it's true, it's true. Can anyone confirm/deny what my friend said?

Leave it to me to find something weird that probably happens very rarely. I'm quoting a long quote, which is, of course, indented twice with no quotation marks and at the end needs a parenthetical citation. However, what do you do if the author is ending with one in reference to the Bible passage he was referring to?

And as a side note...what is there to see in Boston? Think someone lives over that way. Dad and I were wondering because we might be going there at the end of May. He wants to see Old Ironsides, but beyond that, what is there to do? We don't need much, just something to fill our day or two that we spend there before/after going to Colonial Williamsburg and D.C.

It's a one-shot, featuring Sam and Bobby after Dean's taken to hell. Inspired by a pic i_o_r_h_a_e_l posted in her lj. Angsty. Hopefully the characterizations aren't too horrible. I've only seen Bobby a handful of times, considering I only came in mid-season 2. And Sam hopefully is good. First attempt at writing Supernatural. Not sure what to rate it. Has one word usage.

Also, I couldn't remember if they got the Colt back or not last episode and couldn't run downstairs to watch it since it's late, but I went with my gut, which said they didn't. Hopefully I'm not wrong on that or one line makes no sense, lol.

Bilbo and Frodo!

Just wanted to say that. I did have a couple drabbles and a fic idea, all of which periantari suggested to me, but unfortunately I was busy this week and some things came up, so I don't have those yet. I will attempt to get them done as soon as I can, though.

Alright, I've looked over my past few posts, and I've not done anything really fandom-related for quite a while (partly because Frodo muse has seemingly run away and partly because of trying to finish up homeschool, which I seem to be avoiding today). I figured I should do something about that.

Meant to be a one-shot as the short summary probably shows, but I was given ideas to continue it, so if anyone wants it continued, feel free to vote.

Here's a little piece on Caradhras. Intended originally as a post on an RPG, but I think it stands alone well enough on its own. Let me know what you think, probably not my best work.

Cold, so cold, and there was no escaping it. The white snow spread as a blanket on all sides as far as Frodo could see. The only way to escape it quickly would be to go over the edge to death, but no, he would not allow himself that. The Ring had to be destroyed, and he had volunteered to do just that. He had to make it through, and suicide was not a choice course of actions for any respectable hobbit. He looked about him, seeing the other Fellowship members around him, his cousins, Sam...he had to press on for them. They had come so far just to help him, just for him. If he hadn't let them come with him to Rivendell, they would be drinking ale or something while he was here with these strange Big Folk, the elf, the dwarf, and Gandalf. Perhaps it was just meant to be, but nevertheless, Frodo couldn't help but feel sorry that they couldn't be there, Sam with his Rose, Merry and Pippin messing around.

He shook his head to clear it. It did no good to dwell on such thoughts. It wasn't as though he could undo anything that had happened. This was how it was and how he had to accept it. His eyes squinted against the howling winds that picked up the flaky snow and blew it harshly against his already cold face, lips blue, body quickly losing strength from the ascent up the mountain. He only hoped they would make it around soon, but judging from some of the conversation around him, they were nowhere near. His muscles burned and ached as though in protest. One more step, and he would be down, but he had to press on despite pain. No doubt he would feel worse than this bitter cold.

The wind seemed to grow harsher the further they pressed on as though the mountain and nature itself did not wish for the Fellowship to make it through alive. Eerie noises, perhaps a trick of the wind, but they sounded so much like shrill cries and wild howls of laughter. What was going on? Just a little further; they had to hurry. It was getting very overwhelming to be upon this place so high from the ground and with such strange noises. Certainly, he had been one of the few who had tried to climb a tree as a lad, but he had never been far from the ground, merely a few feet. This mountain was so high, and if he were to tumble down it, lose his footing....but he daren't think of that.

His hand moved up to pull the hood of his Fellowship cloak once more, the wind having blown it back. Then, quickly, it was back across his other, holding his cloak tight around him. So cold, so eerie, so despairing...the mountain of Caradhras.

I join her sites, and not only that but I make maps of the things for her when she asks. *sigh* Took a while. And then I wrote in the places on the second one in black colored pencil without doing regular pencil first, so I had to try to erase colored pencil on one part. I put "Blizzard and Fiercefang's Den" instead of "Breeze and Fiercefang's Den." :p

Yay! Arwen's helped a bunch! :) I was (and still am to an extent, and still am definitely going to the BBB) upset because I found out that even if I ask for my money back the biased STORE will decide the laptop's value on today's market and give me back that amount instead of what I paid (which makes no sense! They sold me a defective product or damaged it themselves! Plus, they're biased and likely will look for the least amount they can get away with giving me.).

This is my first attempt at PotO fanfic, and it's only a drabble, but I thought I'd post it here.

And, yes, I was supposed to have that LotR fic up tonight, but I didn't have writing time today. :( I wrote this last night when I couldn't sleep. If I had known I wasn't going to have time to write today I would have worked on the LotR fic instead. But anyway, hope you like this, if you read it.
